Big Bass Splash

★★★★☆ 4.4 Editor rating

Big Bass Splash is one of those games I fired up expecting to close in five minutes and then kept open for an hour. It's a colorful, water-themed casual game with a friendly fisherman mascot and a splashy sense of humor. The whole thing runs on quick, satisfying taps — you time your inputs, watch the reels of themed icons line up, and chase those little animated fish that pop across the screen.

What surprised me is how readable everything is. The art is loud in a good way: chunky icons, bouncy animations, and sound effects that give a clear little payoff every time something lines up. Controls are dead simple — one main tap zone and a couple of toggle buttons — so it works fine one-handed on a phone. There's an autoplay option if you'd rather just watch the fish jump.

On battery it behaves reasonably. Twenty minutes cost me around eight percent on a mid-range phone, which is fine for a game with this much on-screen motion. My advice: turn the animation speed up in settings once you know the rhythm, it makes sessions feel snappier.
